Reader-voted recognition
Thank you to the Main Line neighbors who keep voting for us. It's the best proof we have that the work holds up long after we pack the tools, and a standard we bring into every house we work in.
What We Do
Four core project types, all planned and built by the same carpentry-led team, so the design you approve is the house you get.
Full kitchen restorations planned around how your family actually cooks, gathers and moves through the room.
Primary baths, hall baths and powder rooms rebuilt from the studs out, or refreshed where it counts.
More room without moving: new rooms, garages and outdoor living built to look like they were always there.
Turn unused square footage into a family room, home office or a basement bar you will actually use.

It's the trade the company was built on, and it's behind every project above. Have a carpentry job that doesn't fit a category? Tell us about it.
Why Ostien
Big remodeling firms sell you a salesperson. We send the people who will actually plan and build your project.
One contractor from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. No handing your project between a designer, a GC and a crew you never met.
Main Line readers have voted us Best of the Main Line three years running. We take that as a standard to keep, not a trophy to polish.
This is a carpentry company first. The person planning your remodel knows how every cabinet, beam and trim board actually goes together.
We are based in Berwyn and work in homes across the Main Line, so we know the housing stock, the townships and the neighborhoods.
What to Expect
Remodeling is stressful when nobody owns the whole job. Here, the same people take you from the first call to the final walkthrough.
Call or send the quote form with a few details about your project. We will get back to you to talk it through.
We visit the house, measure, listen to what you want and plan the work, from layout to finishes.
Our carpentry-led crew builds it. You always know who is in your home and who to call with a question.
We walk the finished space with you and take care of anything that isn't right before we call it done.
